‘Improvisação para 2 músicos e n computadores’ (Improvisation for 2 musicians and several computers) was the name of my final graduation project. It consisted on the development of a custom built midi controller, audio and video patches with Max/MSP/Jitter and a method for an improvisation with my friend Sérgio Calisto on cello and bouzouki and myself on the computers. It featured real-time video synthesis as lighting, quadraphonic sound around the audience and inner-quadraphic sound for the granular synthesis and several improvisation techniques built around the harmonic progression below.
